Mortar and pestle with fresh herbs

Overview

A whole-system approach, in plant form

Western herbal medicine treats the person, not just the diagnosis. Our herbalists work from a thorough intake of your physical, emotional and life context, and prescribe specific plants for the specific picture in front of them. Every prescription is unique. Most blend three to seven herbs into a tincture, with optional teas and topicals alongside.

How our practitioners work

How our herbalists work

01

Long initial intake

A 60- to 90-minute first consultation that maps your case end-to-end. Our herbalists are trained to take the time most other clinicians cannot.

02

Bespoke prescription

Your tincture, tea or capsule formula is prepared to order in our partner pharmacy. No off-the-shelf supplements pretending to be personalised.

03

Evidence-led where possible

We lean on plants with reasonable trial evidence and a long traditional record. Where evidence is thin, our herbalists say so.

04

Coordinated with your GP

Where you are on existing medication, our herbalists prescribe combinations they are confident in and write a clear plan you can share.

Frequently asked

Are herbal medicines regulated in the UK?

Practitioners are regulated by professional bodies (NIMH for medical herbalists). The herbs themselves are sold under the THR scheme for over-the-counter use; bespoke prescriptions are dispensed by your practitioner under their professional registration.

Can I take herbs with my prescription medications?

Often yes — with care. Your herbalist will check every interaction and only prescribe combinations they are confident in. They will flag anything that needs your GP’s attention.

How quickly will I notice change?

Many clients feel some shift in 2–4 weeks. Stable change usually takes 8–12 weeks of focused work. Chronic conditions tend to be 3–6 months.

Are herbal prescriptions expensive?

A typical monthly herbal prescription costs £35–£60. Subscriptions include them at no additional charge.
