01 · The practice

Men’s health is more than testosterone and prostate — it’s the whole picture.

BPH is age-related enlargement of the prostate, with growing prevalence after 50. Symptoms include weak stream, urgency, incomplete emptying and nocturia. Always rule out other causes (prostate cancer, urinary infection) through your GP before assuming BPH.

“Plant compounds often work synergistically — combinations can be safer than isolated molecules.”

Safety note

Saw palmetto and Nettle root can interact with finasteride and alpha-blockers used for BPH; Tribulus and Tongkat ali can affect testosterone-replacement therapy. If you take prostate medication, blood-pressure medication or are scheduled for surgery, only use these herbs under the guidance of a registered herbalist who can coordinate with your GP or urologist.

05 · Frequently asked

Questions men ask us most.

Will saw palmetto shrink my prostate?

No — it doesn’t reduce prostate size meaningfully. It can ease symptoms in some men, though current Cochrane evidence suggests modest benefit.

Can I take herbs alongside finasteride or tamsulosin?

In most cases yes — your herbalist will screen for interactions. Never stop prescribed medication without GP discussion.

What about prostate cancer risk?

Herbal medicine is not a substitute for prostate-cancer screening. Continue PSA monitoring and digital examination as recommended by your GP.

Can I book online from anywhere in the UK?

Yes — consultations are offered by video and home visits are available in selected areas.
