What it is
A conversation, not a consultation
Most people who book a discovery call aren’t sure where to start. That’s the point. We’ll listen, ask a few questions, and help you understand whether holistic therapy is right for what you’re dealing with — and if it is, which of our practitioners is the right fit.
01
Listening first
No script, no sales pitch. You explain what’s going on in your own words. We listen, ask one or two follow-up questions, and reflect back what we’ve heard.
02
Honest about fit
Sometimes holistic therapy is the right next step. Sometimes it isn’t — and we’ll tell you. Our job is to help you make a good decision, not sell you a consultation.
03
Pointed in the right direction
If a full consultation makes sense, we’ll suggest the practitioner and modality that fit your case. If something else would serve you better (your GP, another professional), we’ll say so.
What we’ll cover
What we’ll talk about in 15 minutes
Short and structured. You lead — we listen. Roughly half the call is you talking, half is us responding with what we’ve found works.
- What’s going on for you — the symptoms or concerns that brought you here, in your own words.
- What you’ve already tried — GP visits, supplements, dietary changes, other therapies. We want to avoid retreading old ground.
- How holistic therapy actually works — what a herbalist, homeopath or naturopath can and can’t help with, in plain English.
- Which modality and practitioner fits — based on what you’ve told us, we’ll suggest one or two of our practitioners and explain why.
- What a full consultation involves — format, length, prescriptions, follow-up, pricing. No surprises.
- Your questions — anything you want to ask. We’ll always make room.
Honest fit
Who this is — and isn’t — for
A discovery call is right for you if…
- You’ve got a long-standing issue (gut, hormones, sleep, energy, skin, mood) that hasn’t been resolved by the usual channels.
- You want to understand whether herbal medicine, homeopathy or naturopathy could realistically help — without committing to a paid consultation first.
- You’d like a sanity-check on what you’ve tried so far, and what might be worth trying next.
- You want to meet us before you book — to know who you’re trusting with your health.
It’s not the right fit if…
- It’s an emergency. If you need urgent care, contact 999 or NHS 111. We can’t help in a crisis.
- You want a specific diagnosis. Diagnosis is your GP’s job. We focus on supporting you alongside conventional care.
- You’re hoping to replace prescription medication. Our practitioners work with your GP, not against them. We never advise stopping prescribed medicines.
- You want a free practitioner consultation. A discovery call is a triage conversation with our team — it isn’t a clinical consultation in disguise.
How it works
Three steps. Roughly 20 minutes of your time.
1. Pick a time
Use the booking button below. Slots run on weekdays and most evenings. You’ll get a Zoom or phone confirmation by email immediately.
2. The call itself
Fifteen minutes. You speak first; we ask a few questions; we share what we’d suggest. No notes for you to take — we’ll follow up by email.
3. Decide together
If a full consultation is the right next step, you’ll get a recommended practitioner and a booking link. If it isn’t, we’ll point you somewhere more useful.
FAQs
Frequently asked
Who will I be talking to?
A member of the PAEAN team trained to triage and match — not a clinician. Our job in the discovery call is to listen and point you to the right practitioner. The clinical conversation happens with the practitioner you book, not on this call.
Will I get any prescriptions or treatment recommendations?
Not on the discovery call. Prescribing happens after a full consultation, when a practitioner has taken your case in detail. The discovery call is for fit, not for treatment.
Do I have to book a paid consultation after?
No. About a quarter of people we speak to don’t book — sometimes because we point them elsewhere, sometimes because the timing isn’t right, sometimes because they want to think it over. There’s no follow-up sales pressure.
What if I can’t make my time?
You can reschedule from the confirmation email up to two hours before the call. If something urgent comes up, just email hello@paeantherapy.com and we’ll move it.
Can I bring my partner, parent or a friend?
Yes — bring whoever helps you think. It’s a Zoom call, so they can join from anywhere.
What if I’m not sure what I want help with?
That’s most people. The discovery call is designed for exactly this — you don’t need a clear question, just a sense that something isn’t working and you’d like to talk to someone about it. We’ll help you frame it.
