Natural ADHD Support
ADHD is best managed through a multi-modal approach: behavioural support, lifestyle, nutrition and (where indicated) medication. Herbal medicine and targeted nutrition can complement this — supporting attention, reducing reactivity, and improving sleep without sedation.
01 · The practice
The mind and body are one system — your protocol respects that.
ADHD is best managed through a multi-modal approach: behavioural support, lifestyle, nutrition and (where indicated) medication. Herbal medicine and targeted nutrition can complement this — supporting attention, reducing reactivity, and improving sleep without sedation.
Working with a registered PAEAN practitioner means a tailored protocol that addresses the underlying cause, not just the symptoms.

Safety note
Several nervine herbs interact with prescription medication. St John’s Wort dramatically reduces the effectiveness of SSRIs, contraceptives, warfarin and many other drugs. Valerian, passiflora and hops can amplify sedatives. Never combine these with mental-health medication without working with a registered herbalist who can adjust doses and timing, and always tell your GP and prescribing psychiatrist about herbal treatment.
05 · Frequently asked
Questions about herbal mental-wellbeing support.
Can herbs replace ADHD medication?
No — for moderate-to-severe ADHD, methylphenidate and similar medications remain first-line. Herbs and nutrition can complement and may reduce the dose needed.
Is Pycnogenol safe for children?
Yes — the main paediatric ADHD RCT used Pycnogenol safely in 6–14-year-olds. Doses are weight-adjusted.
How long until we notice change?
Most families notice modest improvements within 4–8 weeks of consistent use alongside other supports.
Can I book online from anywhere in the UK?
Yes — consultations are offered by video and home visits are available in selected areas.
